MARKETING WRITING THIRD QUARTER -2023 500kV SÔNG MÂY SUBSTATION – CELEBRATING THE 68 YEARS OF TRADIOTIONAL DAY OF VIET NAM ELECTRICITY POWER (21/12/1954-21/12/2022)

On December 23, 2022, at Song May 500kV Substation, the Investor /representative Southern Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) successfully energized the load of AT2 – 900MVA transformer under the project “Upgrading the capacity Song May 500kV substation”, this is one of the key projects of SPMB to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the Vietnam Electricity Industry Traditional Day (December 21, 1954 – December 12, 2022).

The Project “Upgrading the capacity of 500kV Song May Substation” is an important project of the Power sector to meet the requirements of socio-economic development in Dong Nai province and the Southeast states. Ensuring electricity supply for the southern region in 2023, especially in the current difficult situation of electricity supply from source to load as it is now across the country.

The timely energizing of the AT2-900MVA transformer contributes to releasing the capacity of power plants in the South Central region such as Vinh Tan Thermal Power Plants, Phu My Power Plants. The project also contributes to ensuring the safety of the transmission grid when sharing the load of transformers at 500kV Tan Dinh, Tan Uyen, and Long Thanh substations to avoid overload.

The Power Engineering Cónulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3) is proud to be a main design consultant since the days when the 500kV Song May substation was still in the table. At each stage of the Project, PECC3 engineers always perform with a high sense of responsibility, handing over products with high accuracy in technical as well as commercial aspects of the Project.

In the period up to 2024, PECC3 will continue to coordinate with the National Power Transmission Corporation to complete and increase the capacity of the remaining AT1-600MVA transformer at the 500kV Song May substation to 900MVA, meeting the electricity demand, regional load demand and ensure backup power in the recovery of economic sectors in the region
