On March 27th, 2025, at the office of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), the Connection Agreement Signing Ceremony of O Mon III Combined Cycle Power Plant to the National Power System took place between Mr. Luu Viet Tien – Vice President Technical of EVNNPT, representative of EVNNPT and Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuong – Director of PetroVietnam Power Project Management Board (PVPMB), representative of the PVPMB – PetroVietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN).
PECC3 represents the PECC2-PECC3 Joint Venture to implement the connection agreement.
O Mon III Combined Cycle Power Plant belongs to the O Mon Power Complex located in Thoi Loi Hamlet, Phuoc Thoi Ward, O Mon District, Can Tho City. The location of O Mon III Combined Cycle Power Plant is in the industrial park planning area of Can Tho city, the North of the location is Hau River, the South is National Highway 91, the West is O Mon Canal, the East is the turn from National Highway 91 to Ha Tien 2 Cement Factory.
Based on the VIII Master Plan and the plan to implement the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021 – 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved in Decision No. 262/QD-TTg dated April 1st, 2024 of the Prime Minister, the O Mon III Combined Cycle Power Plant project is planned with a capacity of 1050MW (the exact scale of the power plant will be specifically determined, in accordance with the capacity of the generator during the project implementation phase), expected to operate in 2030.
The connection agreement is one of the important agreements that must be achieved according to current regulations as a basis submit to authorities for appraisal of the project Feasibility Study Report.
Signing the connection agreement in March 2025 demonstrates the commitment to progress and quality in providing consulting services of the PECC2-PECC3 Joint Venture, in which the connection agreement is the scope of work of PECC3.
