Recently, on July 12, 2023, PECC3 was honored to participate in one of the largest renewable energy exhibitions in Vietnam – The Future Energy Show Vietnam 2023, which was held at SKY EXPO Vietnam, Quang Trung Software City, No. 2 Tan Hung Thuan Street, District 12, HCMC.
The Future Energy Show Vietnam has been a large-scale energy event in Vietnam in recent years, with the goal of bringing optimal energy solutions to the market and creating a positive connection and cooperation environment for individuals as well as businesses. Besides, it also orients the sustainable development strategy for Vietnam’s energy industry in the future. Within the framework of the exhibition, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuc Dang represented PECC3 to participate in the exhibition with the presentation “Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA): Policy and Contract”.
DPPA is a mechanism to sell electricity directly from generators to consumers through the national transmission system. This is a mechanism that is considered a sustainable and long-term policy. In principle, EVN represents consumers to buy electricity from the generators at the spot market price and sells it back to the consumers at the retail price. Consumers can choose and access the source of the clean energy that they will use for manufacture and business for the purpose of protecting the environment and being recognized with renewable energy certificates (RECs). EVN is compensated for electricity transmission and management cost by the difference between the retail price and the spot market price.
