In anticipation of this trend, the Company has established an Environment Division under the Computer and Environment Department, specializing in the task of preparation of environmental impact assessment reports for power and grid projects which the company is the Consulting contractor.<\/p>\n<p>Along with the growth of the Company and the rapidly increasing demand for environmental and social impact assessment reports as well as other related reports, on July 1, 2013, the Company separated the The Environment Division from Computer and form Environment to the Environment Department.<\/p>\n<h3>The role of the department in a project<\/h3>\n<p>The Environment Department is involved in project development process from site planning to the PreFS documentation and FS preparation phases, with the task of implementing sectoral reports include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>(i) Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), (ii) Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), (iii) Resettlement and Compensation Plan (RP), (iv) Ethinic Minorities Development Plan (EMDP) for power and grid projects in accordance with Vietnam\u2019s standards and international credit institutions such as: WB, JBIC, ADB,\u2026;<\/li>\n<li>Other consulting activities: Design cleanup of hydroelectric reservoir bed; Develop an Emergency Response Plan for Hydropower Plants resulting from flood discharge and\/or dam failure; calculate cooling water heat spread and thermal power plant emissions.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, the department also deepens and completes environmental impact assessment reports for renewable energy projects such as wind energy, solar power\u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The department constantly set criterias to strive for: completing the tasks on schedule with the quality of the products checked and perfected, improving the capacity and professional ability of the department personel, with the expectation is to ensure the sustainable development of the project, in addition, to become a reliable tool for appraisers and investors to consult before making project decisions, thereby gradually becoming a leading environmental and social consultant for energy projects.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"title-text blue\">Examplifies project<\/h3>\n<p><strong>1. Renewable Energy Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>Prepare EIA report of Sao Mai Solar Power Plant (PV) &#8211; 210MW: this is the first EIA report for the solar power project appraised and approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment nationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. Hydropower Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>Song Bung 4 &#8211; 156MW Hydropower: EIA report preparation, Compensation and resettlement master plan, documents for ADB loan service: this is a highly complex project and ireceived critical aclaim by ADB<\/li>\n<li>Preparing Emergency response plan for cascade hydropower dams on Dong Nai river basin system for Da Nhim hydropower, Dai Ninh hydropower and Dong Nai 3, 4 hydropower.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Tranmission project<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>Cluster of 03 projects: 500kV Phu My &#8211; Song May transmission line, Song May &#8211; Tan Dinh transmission line and 500kV Song May substation:<br \/>\nResetlement Plan (RP) and Environment and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), this is the first WB loan 500kV project of the deparment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. Thermal Power Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: square;\">\n<li>Vinh Tan 4 Expansion Power Plant Project: The project\u2019s EIA report is of high scale and complexity, with close relation with other plant of Vinh Tan Power Center in the allocation of emission quota.<\/li>\n<li>Vinh Tan 4 thermal-power plant project: package of environmental and social Action plan for IFC loan, this is the first environmental &amp; social document to be implemented in arcordance to IFC&#8217;s standards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"title-text blue\">Statistics of projects perform by the Environment Department<\/h3>\n<p><strong>1.
