On January 14, 2013 at the Head Office of Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3), a signing ceremony of contract on construction supervision constulancy & verification of shop drawings of Xekaman 1 hydro power project between XKPC1 and PECC3 was held. This is an important mark recognizing the growth and development of PECC3. The projects executed by PECC3 now really reach beyond the borders of the country.

PECC3 has many years of experience in consulting and supervising the construction of hydropower projects, especially Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) dam projects such as Ban Chat hydropower, Dong Nai 3 hydropower, Dong Nai 4 hydropower and Dong Nai 5 hydropower projects with millions of RCC m3 and this also the reason why PECC3 is the choice of XKPC1.

Xekaman 1 hydropower project includes 02 works including Xekaman 1 hydropower and xekaman xanxay (lower terrace of Xekaman 1) located in Xanmind district, Attapeu province, Lao PDR. The installed capacity of the project is 322 MW of which the Xekaman 1 Hydropower Project: 290MW (02 units), Xekaman Xanxay Hydropower Project: 32MW (02 units) with the average power of about 1,288 billion kwh, of which 80% of electricity is transmitted to Vietnam and 20% is consumed in Lao PDR. The project has a total investment of USD 441.6 million and is expected to be completed in 2015.
