Granting PAC for Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant Project

At 16h30, 20th September 2017, in the site office of Duyen Hai 3 TPPP, Thermal Power Management Board 3 (TPMB3) implemented ceremony on granting PAC of two units of Duyen Hai 3 TPPP for the Joint Venture of Contractors – China Chengda Engineering Co. Ltd. – Dongfang Electric corporation Ltd. – Southwest Eletric Power Design Institute – Zhejiang Electric Power Construction Co. Ltd (CDSZ) with China Chengda Engineering Co. Ltd. as the leader.

Attending the ceremony, Mr. Thai Tuan Tai – General Director of Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 (PECC3), on behalf of Owner’s Consultant, has given a speech for thanking on this successfulness. This is the result from the continuous working and serious efforts of all relevant parties, under timely instructions of EVNGENCO1 to solve obstacles, great effort of CDSZ and from the quality and schedule management of TPMB3 with due assistance/consultancy of PECC3 and Subconsultant – Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG.

Through scientific, detailed and responsible tests of National and EVN Commissioning Councils, the project has been evaluated by the experts that it satisfies technical requirements of the contract, and standards and codes of Vietnam, capable for safe and reliable operation, and satisfies conditions for granting PAC for two units of Duyen Hai 3 TPPP.

Duyen Hai 3 TPP locates in Duyen Hai power complex, consisting two units, with total installed capacity of 1,245MW (2×622.5 MW), annual power output will be about 7.8 billion kWh (equivalent to about 9% total power output of the South in 2017). As being put into operation, the power plant will increase power supply capability, serving for socio-economic development of Mekong River Delta, reducing power load  transmitted from the North to the South, reducing power loss, increasing safety, stability, and economic in operation of the power system.
